Squad is a Brisbane-based hospitality recruitment and staffing business, and we're looking for someone from within the hospitality industry to join our team. We're specifically interested in hospitality people who understand venues, understand people and know what great hospitality talent actually looks like.

SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS THE JOB?

You'll become one of our Hospitality Talent Scouts, working with some of Australia's leading hospitality businesses to find the people who make their venues work.

You'll speak with chefs, managers, operators and hospitality professionals every day, learn what they're looking for and connect great people with great opportunities.

You'll be involved in:

- Interviewing and getting to know hospitality candidates
- Identifying great talent across the industry
- Matching candidates with restaurants, hotels, resorts, clubs and hospitality groups
- Building long-term relationships with candidates and clients
- Writing job advertisements and candidate profiles
- Searching our database, SEEK, LinkedIn and other platforms for talent
- Speaking with new and existing hospitality businesses
- Managing recruitment processes from first conversation through to placement
- Learning business development, account management and recruitment strategy
- Celebrating when the person you introduced gets the job

Yes, there are targets. There are phones. There is sales involved. And there will definitely be days where you'll need to chase people who promised they were going to call you back.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We're not looking for someone who already knows how to recruit. We're looking for someone who knows hospitality.

You might currently be a:

- Restaurant Manager
- Assistant Restaurant Manager
- F&B; Manager
- Venue Manager
- Hotel skilled
- Duty Manager
- Head Chef
- Sous Chef
- Events or Functions Manager
- Hospitality sales professional
- Or someone who's simply spent enough time in the industry to genuinely understand it

Your exact title isn't important. Your personality is.
