About the role To deliver consistently exceptional food and beverage service across The Great Room, The Pavillion and event spaces, ensuring every member and guest interaction reflects the standards, warmth and discretion of the club.

Key responsibilities

- Greet, seat and serve members and their guests with genuine warmth and professionalism

- Learn and use member names, preferences, allergies and habits; record and share these with the team

- Anticipate needs and act before being asked; handle special requests with discretion

- Resolve concerns promptly and escalate to the Venue Manager where appropriate

- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding members, guests and conversations within the club

- Deliver food and beverage service to club standard, including silver service and canapé service where required

- Take accurate orders, enter them correctly into the POS and communicate clearly with kitchen and bar

- Know the menu in full — ingredients, preparation, allergens and dietary alternatives

- Know the beverage list — wines by the glass, cocktails, spirits,



non-alcoholic options — and make confident recommendations

- Time courses correctly, explicit and reset tables efficiently, and maintain table presentation throughout service

About you

- Comply with RSA obligations, food safety, allergen management and WHS requirements at all times

- Process payments accurately, including member account charges, and reconcile at end of shift

- Support private dining, member events and club activations with set-up, service and pack-down

- Follow event running sheets and briefings precisely

- Adapt service style to the format of the event, from seated dinners to standing receptions

- Complete opening, running and closing duties, including mise en place, polishing, restocking and cleaning

- Maintain the presentation of the venue, respecting the heritage fabric of the building

- Report maintenance issues, breakages and incidents promptly
