About the role

McGuire Hotels is seeking a Hotel Receptionist to join our team in Logan Village, QLD on a casual basis. As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience. This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere and setting the tone for our guests' stay.

You will work flexible hours to support the operational needs of our hotel, with opportunities to develop your skills in guest relations and hospitality management.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and providing check-in and check-out services with professionalism and efficiency

- Managing the front desk operations, including answering phones, responding to emails and handling guest enquiries

- Processing guest bookings, payments and room assignments using our property management system

- Providing accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions and services available to guests

- Assisting with guest special requests and resolving any issues or complaints promptly and courteously

- Maintaining the reception area to ensure it is clean, organised and welcoming

- Coordinating with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction

- Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence and managing the reception desk during your shifts

- Contributing to the overall success of the hotel by promoting additional services and facilities to guests

What we're looking for

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues

- Excellent customer service orientation with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction

- Proficiency with computer systems and property management software (or willingness to learn)





- Organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment

- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a positive attitude

- Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts, including evenings and weekends as required

- Previous reception or guest services experience is highly desirable

- Knowledge of the local Logan Village area and nearby attractions would be advantageous
- A commitment to maintaining professional standards and hotel policies
