About the role

McGuire Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at the Logan Village Hotel in Logan Village, QLD. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality team. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, comfort and presentation of our guest rooms and common areas, directly contributing to the exceptional guest experience that defines McGuire Hotels.

Key responsibilities

- Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites to the highest standards, including changing linens, restocking amenities and inspecting for any maintenance issues

- Maintain common areas such as corridors, lobbies, stairwells and public spaces in an immaculate condition

- Perform detailed cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces to ensure all areas meet hotel hygiene standards

- Report any maintenance concerns, damages or lost and found items to your supervisor promptly

- Stock and organise housekeeping trolleys with necessary cleaning supplies and linens

- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately

- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintain a courteous, professional demeanour at all times

- Work efficiently to meet daily cleaning schedules and turnover times

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience, preferably in a hotel or similar accommodation setting

- Robust attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift items weighing up to 20 kg

- Excellent time management and organisational skills to work efficiently within set timelines
- A positive,



proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for guest satisfaction

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Reliability and punctuality, particularly important in a casual role

- Knowledge of health and safety standards and cleaning best practices

- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required
