Zen Luxury Retreats is a Darwin-based short-stay, corporate accommodation and property management business managing a growing portfolio of premium properties across Darwin.

We’re looking for an experienced Housekeeping Lead / QA Manager to take ownership of the quality and consistency of housekeeping across our portfolio.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows what a genuinely guest-ready property should look like and can lead a team to consistently deliver that standard. You’ll oversee our housekeeping team, manage rostering and quality assurance, train and onboard cleaners, maintain standards and systems, and support the growth of our external and commercial cleaning work.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, roster and manage the housekeeping and cleaning team across our short-stay portfolio
- Conduct QA checks on turnover cleans using checklists, photos and sign-offs
- Maintain consistent presentation and cleanliness standards across properties
- Train and onboard current cleaners and provide ongoing guidance to the team
- Hold the team accountable for quality, reliability and completion standards
- Manage cleaning supplies, equipment and stock levels
- Identify and report maintenance issues found during property checks for follow-up
- Maintain and improve housekeeping SOPs and operational processes
- Manage the intake, quoting and quality assurance of external and commercial cleaning jobs
- Track and report housekeeping performance, including turnaround times, QA results and cleanliness-related guest feedback
- Use our digital operations systems for checklists, rostering, photos and reporting

About you:
- Currently based in Darwin and available to work on-site
- Proven experience supervising or managing a housekeeping or cleaning team
- Hotel, short-stay accommodation or commercial cleaning experience is highly regarded
- Robust eye for detail and high presentation standards
- Confident leading, rostering, training and holding a team accountable
- Organised and capable of managing multiple properties and priorities




- Comfortable using digital tools and mobile apps for checklists, rostering and reporting
- Own a reliable vehicle and hold a current Australian driver’s licence
- Physically capable and available for flexible hours, including weekends when required
- Experience quoting or managing commercial cleaning contracts would be an advantage
- Must have unrestricted Australian working rights

What we offer:
- $75,000–$85,000 + super per annum, depending on experience
- Full-time employment
- Independent contractor arrangement also considered for the right candidate
