The Company
Our client is an established engineering and project delivery business working across the Australian resources sector.
They operate across the full project lifecycle, from studies, engineering and design through to construction, commissioning and, in some cases, ongoing operations and maintenance. They have delivered projects across Australia and internationally, working across gold, iron ore, lithium and other critical minerals.
The business employs a mix of engineering, corporate and blue-collar personnel across its corporate office, projects and operational sites.
The Role
This is a hands-on HR Advisor role providing broad, holistic HR support across the business. You'll work closely with leaders and employees across the full range of day-to-day HR matters, including performance, learning and development, remuneration and benefits, employee engagement and general people matters, while also contributing to broader HR initiatives across the business.
Based primarily from a brand-new Perth CBD office, the role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation and building relationships with the workforce. You'll spend a few days each month visiting site, getting to know the teams, providing face-to-face HR support and assisting with areas such as training and development.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll work alongside a Senior HR professional and another HR Advisor as part of a small, established HR team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle
- Support performance management, performance reviews and employee development
- Contribute to learning and development, training and employee engagement initiatives
- Provide advice around remuneration and advantages
- Contribute to HR reporting, systems, projects and process improvements
- Build strong relationships across corporate, project and operational teams, including spending a few days each month on site providing in-person HR support
What We're Looking For
- Around 3–7 years' experience in a broad HR generalist or HR Advisor role
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Experience across performance management, employee development and general HR advisory
- Exposure to learning and development, remuneration and benefits
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to work with employees and managers at all levels
- Someone who is happy to get out of the corporate office and spend time with the workforce on site
- Resources, engineering, construction or industrial experience would be useful, but isn't essential
We're also open to someone with considerably more experience who enjoys being a hands-on HR Advisor and isn't necessarily looking for their next move into HR management.
What's on Offer
- Permanent position
- Brand-new Perth CBD office
- Flexible working arrangements
- Competitive salary
- Gym, pool and tennis court facilities
- Paid parental leave
- Health and wellbeing benefits
