Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking an enthusiastic graduate to join its Outdoor Education Department in 2027. This unique internship provides extensive field-based experience supporting camps, expeditions and outdoor learning programs that develop resilience, leadership and independence.
The successful applicant will:
- have a passion for outdoor learning and youth development.
- preferably have experience or qualifications as a guide / instructor in any of the following; canoe / kayak / sea kayak, abseiling/climbing, mountain biking, boating or related qualifications.
- have an understanding of, and empathy for, the learning needs and social, emotional, and spiritual development of boys.
- have a firm commitment to independent schooling and a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican traditions.
- hold appropriate academic and teaching qualifications.
- have current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia or be eligible for registration.
- have a current Working with Children (WWC) check.
