Work on Matters That Shape Queensland
Not every property lawyer wants a career built around transactions. This prospect offers something different.
Join a specialist in-house legal team where property law, regulation, public policy and major commercial decisions intersect. Working alongside highly regarded senior lawyers, you'll advise on matters that influence property ownership, support economic activity and contribute to the legal framework underpinning one of Queensland's most important sectors.
This is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer with 2-5 years' PAE looking to deepen their expertise, broaden their commercial perspective, or make a first move in-house.
You will work across a diverse range of matters including:
- Property, titling and land-related legal issues.
- Commercial, corporate and governance matters.
- Regulatory and legislative interpretation.
- Litigation and dispute management.
- Strategic projects, industry initiatives and legal reform activities.
- Stakeholder engagement with government, industry participants and senior decision-makers.
The role offers a unique blend of technical legal work and strategic advisory exposure, allowing you to develop expertise in a highly specialised area while contributing to matters with genuine significance across Queensland.
We're keen to hear from lawyers who bring:
- Approximately 2-5 years' post-admission experience.
- Experience in property law, conveyancing, commercial property, succession law, land titles or a related practice area.
- Strong analytical, drafting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Sound commercial judgement and a proactive approach to learning.
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in complex legal and regulatory issues.
Lawyers from private practice seeking their first in-house opportunity are strongly encouraged to apply.
What's on Offer
- Salary package of up to $125,000 + superannuation.
- Exposure to complex and intellectually engaging legal work.
- Mentorship from recognised experts in their field.
- A collaborative, supportive and high-performing team culture.
- The opportunity to contribute to matters that have a meaningful impact across Queensland.
Applications close 24 September 2026.
Interviews are currently anticipated for the week commencing 5 October 2026.
