About the role The Information, Communication and Technology Manager is a full-time position and is responsible for the leadership, governance, security, delivery and continuous improvement of the School's technology environment. The role provides strategic direction for ICT while ensuring reliable operation of infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, applications, data management and user support services across the School. Working closely with the Director of Business the ICT Manager provides leadership of the ICT team, oversees ICT projects and budgets, manages key technology vendors and supports the effective use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and business operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the School's ICT Strategic Plan
- Provide strategic advice on the adoption, governance, security and appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies across the School
- Lead, mentor and develop the ICT team and foster a culture of high customer service, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Maintain oversight of the School's network, infrastructure, systems and technology setting
- Lead the School's cyber security program and maintain and regularly review cyber security controls, incident response plans and recovery procedures
- Lead the delivery of ICT services across the School and ensure the availability, reliability, performance and security of ICT infrastructure and systems
- Lead the planning and delivery of ICT projects and system enhancements
- Develop and manage the annual ICT operating and capital budgets and negotiate and manage service agreements and contracts
- Ensure technology services support curriculum delivery and student learning outcomes
- Oversee the governance, integrity, security and accessibility of School data
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading ICT operations and teams
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems and service delivery
- Proven project management experience
- Experience managing vendors, contracts and ICT budgets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Current Working With Children Check
- Strategic thinker with strong operational capability
- Collaborative and service-oriented leader with high level of integrity and accountability
