About the role

TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Legal Counsel - Projects & Infrastructure to join a growing legal team supporting the delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects across Australia. This role will provide legal guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including tenders, contract negotiation, project delivery, commercial risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and responsibilities

- Review tender documentation and procurement requirements for major projects
- Draft, review and negotiate construction and project contracts
- Support the negotiation of project agreements and commercial arrangements
- Provide legal advice on PPP and infrastructure project structures
- Prepare and review joint venture and project company documentation
- Assist with project finance, security and financing agreements




- Support dispute resolution, claims management and external legal matters

Skills and experience required

- Law degree with admission to practice in Australia preferred
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification legal experience
- Experience within a top-tier law firm or in-house environment
- Robust background in construction and infrastructure contracts
- Knowledge of PPP, project finance and joint venture structures
- Excellent contract negotiation and stakeholder management skills
