Are you a confident communicator who enjoys solving problems, working with people and keeping things organised?
WorkCon is looking for an energetic Labour Allocator to coordinate field workers, manage daily rosters and help keep client sites fully staffed.
This is a quick-moving role where priorities can change quickly. You will communicate with workers, Area Managers and internal teams to match the right people to the right jobs while managing availability, compliance, attendance and urgent roster changes.
What you’ll be doing
- Allocate field workers to shifts and client sites.
- Manage daily and weekly rosters.
- Confirm worker availability and communicate shift details.
- Respond to cancellations, absences and last-minute changes.
- Resolve competing requests and operational conflicts.
- Ensure workers have current licences, tickets, inductions and PPE.
- Track clock-in and clock-out records and support accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate employee and allocation records.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are
- Experiences in Labour / Labour Hire / Construction.
- Outgoing, confident and comfortable spending time on the phone and occasional site visits.
- Enthusiastic about building a career in labour hire operations.
- Able to manage multiple conversations, requests and changing priorities.
- Calm and solutions-focused when dealing with conflict or urgent problems.
- Highly organised, responsive and reliable.
- Able to follow instructions, processes and compliance requirements.
- Comfortable making decisions under pressure.
- Strong in time management and attention to detail.
- Willing to support urgent operational matters outside standard hours as part of a shared roster.
