We’re looking for a Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our small, family-run wine bar team working a couple of days a week and to also be back up when staff go on leave.

We’re a busy little local spot serving good food, great wine and a relaxed atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who can jump in, keep up when things get busy and, most importantly, bring great vibes to the kitchen.

The Role

You’ll be helping with the day-to-day running of our kitchen and food service, including:

- Food preparation and basic cooking
- Assisting with service and getting food out quickly and consistently
- Helping with plating and presentation
- Preparing ingredients and keeping the kitchen organised
- Washing dishes and general kitchen cleaning
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Helping with stock rotation and keeping the kitchen well stocked
- Jumping in wherever needed during busy service

What We’re Looking For

We’d love someone who

- Has previous kitchen, cooking or hospitality experience — desirable but not essential
- Can work confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Is reliable, hardworking and able to stay calm when service gets busy




- Is happy to take direction and work as part of a small team
- Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in the food they put out
- Is flexible and happy to go with the flow — hospitality can throw anything at you!
- Has a positive attitude and brings good energy and great vibes to work
- Is willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed
- Understands that in a small kitchen, everyone pitches in

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 per week
