We’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can hit the ground running during a critical period for our business.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of the Rip Curl ANZ finance team, you’ll be responsible for:

- Leading month-end reporting and general ledger reconciliations

- Reviewing actuals vs. budgets/forecasts and providing variance commentary

- Partnering with FP&A; and cost centre owners to deliver insights

- Supporting tax compliance (BAS, FBT, WHT)

- Investigating stock costing variances and ensuring inventory accuracy

- Assisting with the ERP system transition and ad-hoc finance projects

- Driving cost reduction initiatives and supporting audit processes

- Ensuring strong financial governance and controls across the business

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is:

- CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years’ experience in financial accounting

- Experienced in Big Four audit (preferred)





- Technically strong with a deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards

- Skilled in Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft AX or D365 advantageous)

- A confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills

- Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities

- Experienced in retail and/or listed companies (a plus!)

- Committed to high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy
