The Role

As the L3 Senior Network Engineer, you are accountable for resolving incidents requiring strong technical expertise, managing operational tooling that enables service delivery, systematically building lower-tier capability to reduce escalation dependency, and delivering billable technical work including project assignments and specialist service requests. The role exists to address issues beyond L2 scope, maintain platform stability, uplift capability through the support tiers, and contribute technical expertise to client onboarding and projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced L3 Engineer or a senior L2 Engineer ready to step into the next stage of their career while gaining exposure to a broad range of customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Resolve complex network incidents and escalated service requests across customer environments.
- Perform network administration tasks such as VLAN, subnet, firewall, wireless, and SD-WAN configuration changes.
- Deliver technical project work, including implementation, customer onboarding, and transition to support.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to strengthen L1 and L2 team capability.




- Manage network outages and coordinate with ISPs and vendors to restore services.
- Maintain the stability and effective operation of monitoring, management, backup, security, and service delivery platforms.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to improve service reliability.
- Assess and implement changes in line with security, documentation, and change management requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across tools, systems, processes, and customer service delivery.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

- 3–5 years’ experience in similar technical support or engineering roles.
- Robust networking capability across routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, wireless, SD-WAN, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
- Good understanding of ITIL and experience with incident, problem and change management.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting network connectivity, performance and availability issues across customer environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise and mid-market networking technologies such as Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba or equivalent.
- Confident working with technology vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience supporting hybrid and cloud-connected environments, including Azure networking, site-to-site connectivity and cloud network services.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
- Security or vendor-specific certifications are desirable but not essential.
