This is a hands-on role suitable for someone with basic or beginner-level flooring skills who is willing to learn and develop their experience in epoxy flooring and concrete floor preparation.

Previous experience is not necessary.

Apprenticeship available to right person

Your day-to-day will include:

- Assisting tradespeople with in office tasks
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- General labouring - sweeping, cleaning, site maintenance
- Operating basic tools and machinery as directed
- Traffic control and pedestrian management as required
- Following all site health and safety protocols
- Assist experienced epoxy applicators with flooring installations.
- Carry out concrete floor preparation by cleaning, grinding, levelling and repairing concrete and other substrates under supervision.
- Assist with grinding, vacuuming, cleaning and preparing floor surfaces.
- Mix epoxy products and other materials according to instructions.
- Apply coatings using rollers and other application tools.
- Assist with primers, epoxy coatings, flake systems and topcoats.
- Assist with minor floor repairs, patching and crack preparation.
- Mask and protect walls, fixtures and surrounding surfaces.
- Move and set up flooring equipment, tools and materials.
- Maintain clean and organised work areas.




- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Follow instructions and established application procedures.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard
- Measure floor areas and interpret project specifications to determine material requirements.
- Remove existing floor coverings and prepare surfaces for new installations.
- Inspect completed work and carry out repairs or touch-ups where required.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements, safe work method statements and site procedures.

When?

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm, typically Monday to Friday

Casual role

- You need to hold an QLD White Card.
- Full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis and steel cap boots)
- Willing to learn and commute to different locations in Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast
