Job Title: Leading Hand | High-End Residential Construction

Location: Sydney Airport Area, NSW

Package: $160,000 - $180,000 Total Package (commensurate with experience)

Our client, a respected and growing builder, is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join their team on a major $40M mixed-use residential development located near the Sydney Airport area.

This project comprises 50 up-to-date residential units, commercial spaces, and a single-level basement. It offers the ideal opportunity for a driven site supervisor or experienced carpenter looking to step up and run daily site operations alongside a senior Project Manager and Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day site operations, directing subcontractors, trades, and site labor to ensure works progress safely and on schedule.
- Quality & QA/QC: Conduct regular site inspections, enforce high finishes standards, and manage structural through to fit-out quality assurance logs.
- Safety & Compliance: Lead site inductions, enforce WHS policies, hold daily toolbox talks, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Trade Coordination: Oversee material deliveries, trade scheduling, short-term lookahead programming, and problem-solve daily site challenges.

About You





- Experience: Proven experience in residential construction (multi-unit residential or apartment builds highly regarded).
- Trade Background: Trade background or relevant trade qualification preferred.
- Leadership: Strong communication skills with a proven track record of managing subcontractors and site crews effectively.
- Project Exposure: Prior experience working on structural concrete works through to detailed internal fit-outs.
