About the Role The Leisure Duty Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Karratha Leisureplex, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service and the smooth running of facility operations. As a frontline leader, you'll oversee customer service activities, support and supervise Customer Service Officers, manage operational requirements, and act as a key point of contact for patrons. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced community recreation environment and is passionate about creating positive customer experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
- Overseeing daily customer service operations and ensuring a high standard of service is delivered across all operating hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Supervising, training, motivating and supporting Customer Service Officers to achieve operational and service excellence.
- Managing cash handling processes, receipts, compliance requirements, staffing levels and roster coordination.
- Acting as a key point of contact for patrons,
responding to enquiries and providing information via phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
- Supporting safe facility operations through health and safety leadership, risk assessments, inspections and incident management.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of two years' experience in a similar customer service, leisure, recreation or facility operations role.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to train, coach and support team members.
- Excellent customer service, communication and public relations skills, with a focus on delivering positive patron experiences.
- Demonstrated organisational, problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and recreation facility operations, along with a current C Class Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance. Formal qualifications in Recreation or Business Administration will be highly regarded.
