We are currently looking for a motivated and reliable Machine Operator to join our team at our Milperra branch. This is a outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the steel industry.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can work well in a busy, fast paced environment and is willing to learn new skills.
What We Are Looking For
- A strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop current skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety
- Forklift Licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience operating Beamline machinery (highly desirable)
- Experience with overhead cranes and steel products (advantageous but not essential)
Responsibilities include:
- Warehousing and distribution of steel products using overhead cranes and forklifts
- Operating and assisting with steel processing machinery, including Beamline equipment
- Preparing and inspecting products to ensure production requirements and quality standards are met
- Bundling and preparing steel loads for dispatch
- Performing routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment at all times
