About the Role

We are seeking a practical, hands-on Machinery Technician to work with advanced fruit grading, sorting and automation machinery.

The role combines electronics, computers, networking, machine vision and industrial machinery, including installation, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting at customer sites.

Travel is essential, including regular customer-site visits, interstate and occasional international travel.

Australian citizenship and unrestricted Australian work rights are required.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, commission, service and troubleshoot machinery at customer sites.

· Install and configure computers, cameras, sensors, ELV equipment and control panels.

· Install, terminate and test Ethernet/network cabling.

· Configure and troubleshoot networks, IP addresses and proprietary machine software.

· Configure and calibrate machine vision and industrial cameras.

· Test, fault-find and troubleshoot electronic, computer and automation systems.

· Read wiring diagrams, technical drawings and documentation.

· Assist with machinery installation, adjustment and commissioning.

· Maintain accurate service and installation records.

· Provide technical support to customers and resolve on-site issues.

Essential Requirements

· Australian citizenship and unrestricted Australian work rights.

· Current Australian driver's licence.

· Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including interstate and occasional international travel.

· Good computer literacy and confidence with Windows and Linux.

· Experience with Ethernet/network cabling and basic networking.





· Experience installing computers, cameras, sensors and electronic equipment.

· Ability to use hand tools and basic electronic test equipment.

· Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and professionally at customer sites.

Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:

· Industrial machinery and automation.

· Machine vision and industrial cameras.

· Fruit grading, sorting or packing machinery.

· PLCs, sensors, conveyors or industrial control systems.

· Mechanical assembly and maintenance.

· Industrial networking.

· Electrical/electronic fault-finding.

· Field service or customer-site work.

Experience with fruit grading equipment is not essential. Training will be provided to the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be practical, technically minded, reliable and willing to learn, with an interest in machinery, electronics, computers and automation.

You should be comfortable troubleshooting problems independently, working at customer sites and travelling frequently.
