Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary and nutritional needs.
- Ensure all food preparation and kitchen operations comply with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with dietitians and care teams to develop and review seasonal menus.
- Prepare texture-modified meals and specialised diets in accordance with IDDSI requirements.
- Cater to individual resident preferences, cultural requirements, and allergies.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation activities.
- Maintain compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant food service regulations.
- Contribute to a positive, efficient, and resident-focused kitchen environment.
About You You will bring:
- Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within aged care, healthcare,
hospitality, or a similar environment.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred).
- Food Safety Supervisor and/or HACCP qualifications (highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens, nutrition, and food safety practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- A genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of older Australians through exceptional food service.
