Trade Assistants – Sydney
We're seeking reliable Trade Assistants for busy workshop and manufacturing operations across Sydney. Ongoing work with reputable companies offering stable hours, contemporary facilities, and supportive teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble mechanical/electrical components from drawings and work instructions to spec and quality standards
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment; take basic measurements and adjustments
- Support qualified tradespeople (boilermakers, electricians, fitters) with materials handling and work area prep
- Carry out quality checks on completed assemblies and maintain a clean, safe, organised workspace per WHS requirements
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 12+ months' experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, trades assistance, or warehousing
- Confident with hand/power tools (drills, grinders, spanners, measuring equipment)
- Able to read basic mechanical drawings, blueprints, or schematics
- Physically fit for repetitive lifting and standing
- Reliable, punctual, strong work ethic
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
