As the Mining Project Engineer you will report to the Project/Operations Manager and will play a key role in supporting the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of underground mining projects for Westfill Pty Ltd.

Westfill Pty Ltd is a rapidly emerging specialised underground mining contractor, with projects throughout Australia and Internationally.

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to:

- Technical, operational, and commercial knowledge to support and optimise underground mining operations
- Experience in underground mining production, development, planning and scheduling activities. (Minimum 4+ Years)
- Excellent communication, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt between engineering and project management responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or equivalent.
- S26 Certificate.
- Valid Western Australia C Class Manual Drivers Licence as a minimum.
- Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical to include drug and alcohol screening.
- National Police Clearance valid within the last 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote and reinforce a proactive safety-first culture across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with Company, legislative, and site-specific safety requirements.




- Provide direction and technical support to site supervisors, foremen, and operators.
- Act as Relief Project Manager when required, providing leadership, decision-making, and operational oversight.
- Support a high-performance culture built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in preparation of budgets, cost forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate recording of costs, labour hours, and production data.
- Contribute to procurement, subcontractor engagement, and contract administration.
- Support preparation of project reports, cost reviews, and claims submissions.
- Monitor equipment and personnel utilisation to optimise productivity.
