Lead a Program That Makes a Difference

Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Services (EDAS) is seeking an experienced, passionate, and values-driven Manager Services to lead our Yadhaba Program, supporting Aboriginal individuals, families, and communities through culturally safe Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) and mental health services.

This role provides leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred services. The successful candidate will drive service excellence, foster a positive team culture, and ensure services are responsive, culturally informed, evidence-based, and aligned with community needs.

About the Role

As Manager Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Yadhaba Program, ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with funding, compliance, and organisational requirements.

Working closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and community members, you will champion continuous improvement, workforce development, and culturally responsive practice while contributing to EDAS's vision of improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people on Darkinjung Country.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the Yadhaba mental health team, including oversight of client intake, assessment, case management and care coordination.
- Ensure the delivery of culturally safe, trauma-informed, and evidence-based services.
- Guide staff in working effectively with Aboriginal individuals, families, and communities experiencing complex mental health and social challenges.
- Monitor program performance, Client outcomes, and service quality against contractual and organisational requirements.




- Oversee case management, ensuring accurate, timely documentation, data collection, and program reporting.
- Lead workforce planning, staff development, coaching, and performance management processes.
- Uphold and demonstrate the EDAS core capability framework
- Foster strong working relationships with Primary Health Care teams, external service providers, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse service data, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage program budgets, reporting obligations, and resource allocation.
- Promote innovative approaches that improve client outcomes and strengthen community wellbeing.
- Promote a strengths-based approach that supports healing, resilience, cultural connection, and self-determination.
- Ensure services reflect Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing and uphold EDAS values.

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience leading Social and Emotional Wellbeing, Mental Health, AOD, Community Services, or Aboriginal Health programs.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing frameworks and culturally responsive models of care.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of Social and Emotional Wellbeing frameworks, trauma-informed practice, and culturally responsive service delivery.
- Experience managing service performance, compliance, reporting requirements, and program outcomes.
- Excellent communication,



stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to Aboriginal community-controlled values, cultural safety, and improving outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities.
- Understanding of the challenges and opportunities impacting Aboriginal health and wellbeing.

Essential Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Services, Mental Health, Health Management, or a related field.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
- NSW Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
