We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to take responsibility for our marketing end to end — researching our market, setting the marketing plan, advising the business on how our services are positioned and promoted, and delivering that plan across digital channels.

You will report to Director and work with our graphic designer, external web developer and the [sales / operations] team. This suits someone who wants ownership of strategy as well as execution.

A Key responsibilities

Marketing strategy and business growth

- Prepare and execute SPS Engineers' marketing objectives, policies and programs, reporting on performance to management
- Identify and develop market opportunities for our existing and new services, including [current service lines, sectors or regions]
- Advise management across the marketing mix — service positioning, pricing and promotional strategy, sales promotion, and the channels we use to reach clients
- Set and manage the annual marketing budget and recommend allocation across channels

Market research

- Undertake and commission market research into demand, competitor activity and client requirements in the [fire protection and safety] sector
- Analyse market and performance data to develop marketing strategies and plans
- Monitor sector trends, regulatory change and tender activity that create marketing opportunities

Campaign development and delivery

- Develop campaign concepts that support the marketing plan and take them through to execution
- Plan, launch and optimise paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn Ads, managing budget and return
- Direct on-page and off-page SEO for our website — site structure, content optimisation, link building and digital PR
- Brief and manage external vendors and agencies,



including our graphic designer and web provider
- Plan content that supports both search visibility and lead generation

Measurement and reporting

- Build and maintain performance reporting in Looker Studio (Google Data Studio) using Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console
- Oversee conversion tracking and tagging across the website, troubleshooting issues and escalating technical work as needed
- Report on lead quality, cost per acquisition and marketing contribution to the sales pipeline

About you

Essential

- Tertiary qualification in marketing, advertising, business communications or public relations, or in business with substantial marketing content
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a marketing agency or comparable in-house marketing role
- Demonstrated experience developing a marketing plan and being accountable for its results — not only executing campaigns set by others
- Hands-on Google Ads and Meta Ads management with budget responsibility
- Practical on-page and off-page SEO experience, including link building
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Looker Studio, able to build reports independently
- Experience briefing and managing external agencies or vendors
- Strong written English and the ability to turn technical subject matter into clear marketing communication

Desirable

- Experience marketing services in fire protection, safety, construction or industrial services
- LinkedIn Ads campaign management
- Emerging AI-driven ad platforms
- Familiarity with CMS platforms
