We focus on delivering exceptional value at all phases of the project life cycle via our market leading differentiation. Due to growth, we are seeking a Technician to join our team. As a member of the Control Room business, you will be part of a cross skilled team group that consults, designs, supplies & installs, and provides after care of control rooms.
We support all major industries including Energy, Resources, Infrastructure, Emergency Services, Transport, Defence and Space.
Position Overview:
The role is based in our Perth headquarters (located near the International Airport) and will report directly to the Senior Technician of the CADwalk Critical Rooms.
The successful candidate will be capable of working within a small team to effectively manufacture and assemble control room consoles. The process involves modification and assembling various components in our workshop to create ergonomically designed consoles. Our technical furniture is of high value and used in critical environments, which means projects are undertaken through a controlled quality process to ensure consistency of outcome and supportability.
As a Technician you will also be involved and at times responsible for the installation of consoles and other equipment via mechanical means within the control room or associated areas.
Travel will exist, but this role will be mostly office based in our Perth HQ. Travel expectations are between 10% and 20% but can vary depending on need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a part of the secondary manufacture and assembly of high-quality control room consoles.
- Be involved or responsible for successful installation of consoles and other control room equipment.
- Execute projects following CADwalk’s quality deployment procedures in an ISO compliant organisation.
- Complete offsite (at CADwalk HQ) works including ITP, FAT, pre-config and other project steps as required.
- Complete Onsite (at client premises) works including install, cabling, configuration, SAT and transition to operations.
- Support the Project Management Office through effective and timely communications enabling resource and project planning/reporting to occur.
- Managing stock coming in and going out of our facility.
- Working within and maintaining quality standards associated with the role.
- Responsible for ensuring CADwalk team members act in accordance with expected HSEQ standards at all times.
Experience:
- Strong organizational skills, methodical mindset and attention to detail to ensure things are done correctly the first time.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and follow these through to accurate high-quality product outcomes.
- Experience in a similar role would be desirable – manufacturing, assembly or installation of equipment.
- Mechanical, cabinet making, or similar Trade would be desirable, but not essential.
- Forklift HRWL would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Experience working in tier 1 client programs of work would be desirable, but not essential.
- Experience working in or around Critical and Control room environments would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- 2 or 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Relevant Qualification is preferred.
