Experienced Mining Engineer required by a robust Mining Company

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-performing operation that plays a critical role in supplying essential minerals to global markets.

Your new role

Reporting to the Technical Services team, you will provide operational and planning support across short, medium, and longer-term mine planning horizons. Working closely with site stakeholders and mining contractors, you will ensure mining activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with agreed plans.

Key responsibilities will include

- Supporting mine planning activities and providing technical input into mining operations.
- Developing and coordinating short-term mine plans, including 48-hour, two-week, and monthly planning schedules.
- Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with mine plans and operational objectives.
- Assisting with quarterly planning, Life of Mine planning, and annual budget preparation.
- Supporting drill and blast design, QA/QC activities, and mining methodology reviews.
- Maintaining accurate reporting against budgets, forecasts, and operational performance metrics.
- Contributing to contractor management processes,



including claims assessments and variation reviews.
- Promoting secure mining practices and ensuring compliance with statutory, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support the successful delivery of site objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

- A degree in Mining Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in open pit hard rock mining operations and mine planning.
- Exposure to drill and blast design and optimisation activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and contractor coordination experience.
- Must have experience using mining software such as Deswik, Vulcan, and Alastri,
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and environmental standards.
- A current C Class Driver's Licence.

Desirable:
- Exposure to bulk commodity operations.
- WA Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency.
