Yellow Iron Fleet is seeking an experienced Mining Leading Hand to supervise and support the safe, productive operation of our crews at Atlas Campaspe Mine. This is an opportunity for a practical, safety-focused leader who can coordinate crews, maintain high operational standards and help deliver daily production targets.

About the role

As Mining Leading Hand, you will provide hands-on leadership to operators working across the Yellow Iron Fleet scope of works. You will help coordinate daily activities, promote safe work practices and ensure equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with site requirements.

- Lead and support operators across daily mining activities.
- Coordinate work areas, equipment allocation and shift priorities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure site procedures are followed.
- Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and operational briefings.
- Monitor equipment condition and report defects, hazards and maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance teams and other site personnel.
- Assist with achieving production, quality and operational targets.
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to team members.
- Complete required shift reports, inspections and documentation.

About you

To be successful in this role,



you will be an experienced operator or Leading Hand with a strong understanding of open-cut mining operations and large ultra class mining equipment.
- Previous experience as a Mining Leading Hand, Senior Operator or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience operating and coordinating Yellow Iron mobile equipment.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
- Sound understanding of mining procedures, risk management and pre-start requirements.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and make practical decisions in a changing work environment.
- Current relevant licences, competencies and site qualifications.
- Ability to successfully complete all required pre-employment and site onboarding requirements.

Roster and location

Location: Atlas Mine Employment type: Full-time

Roster: 2 weeks on one week off

Salary: $190,000 - $200,000
