Superior refinish is looking for an experienced Automotive Spray Painter to join our team in a full-time mobile role. Rather than spending every day in the same workshop, you'll be travelling to customers' homes, dealerships and other locations to complete automotive cosmetic repairs in office. Every day is a little different, and you'll have the opportunity to work independently, meet different customers and businesses, and take your work with you rather than being stuck inside a workshop all day.
Key responsibilities
- Complete a range of mobile automotive repairs, including bumper corner repairs and paintwork
- Repair scratches, scuffs and minor panel damage
- Carry out alloy wheel repairs and refinishing
- Perform colour matching and blending to a high level
- Complete SMART repairs and cosmetic refinishing
- Carry out general automotive spray painting and touch-up work
- Prepare, mask, prime and refinish repaired areas
- Assess repairs, work out the best way to tackle them and complete jobs efficiently without removing vehicle parts or sending back to a workshop
- Work neatly and efficiently at customer and dealership locations
- Deal with customers in a professional and friendly manner
About you
- Solid experience as an Automotive Spray Painter
- Experience with SMART and mobile repairs
- Confidence repairing and painting bumper corners and other small cosmetic repairs
- Experience with wheel repairs and painting
- Good colour-matching and blending skills
- Strong preparation and finishing skills
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Ability to take a job from start to finish on your own
- Comfortable working outside of a traditional workshop environment
- Be confident in using basic hand tools
- Current driver's licence
