Overview

The Product/Process Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and continuously improving the business and clinical support processes that underpin Cornerstone Health's network of medical practices. The role drives operational excellence through the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, process standardisation, performance analytics and disciplined change management.

This position partners with practice managers, clinical leaders and corporate services teams to identify improvement opportunities, remove duplication and administrative burden from clinicians and practice staff, improve the patient experience, reduce operational and clinical risk, and lift the efficiency of the network.

The Product/Process Lead is a champion for continuous improvement at Cornerstone Health, embedding data-driven decision-making and standardised ways of working across practices while keeping patient safety, privacy and regulatory obligations at the centre of every process change.

Key responsibilities

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Cornerstone Health's practice network and corporate functions.

Develop and maintain a structured Continuous Improvement Framework that practices and support teams can apply consistently.

Facilitate Lean Six Sigma projects using DMAIC methodology.

Identify opportunities to improve the patient experience, clinician and staff productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement across practices, clinical services and corporate teams.

Coach and mentor practice managers and functional leaders in improvement methodologies and structured problem solving.

Process Design and Optimisation

Map, analyse, document and redesign end-to-end processes spanning the patient journey, practice operations and corporate services.

Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, duplication, rework and compliance gaps,



including those that add avoidable administrative burden to clinicians.

Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation that can be adopted consistently across all practices.

Establish process governance structures and clear process ownership across the network.

Drive process standardisation across practices and corporate functions.

Lean Six Sigma Program Management

Lead complex improvement projects from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation.

Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis and value stream mapping techniques.

Facilitate workshops and improvement events with clinical and non-clinical teams.

Monitor project benefits and ensure improvements are sustained after handover to the business.

Establish measurement systems and process controls that make performance visible at practice and network level.

Performance Management and Reporting

Develop and maintain operational performance dashboards covering practice and network performance.

Analyse data trends to identify improvement opportunities and quantify their value.

Track KPIs and perks realisation from improvement initiatives.

Produce reports and recommendations for the Chief Transformation Officer and the Executive.

Present findings to senior leadership teams.

Change Management

Support transformation initiatives including practice integration, system implementations and new models of care.

Engage stakeholders and manage the change impacts of process redesign on clinicians, practice staff and patients.

Develop communication and training plans for process and system changes.

Ensure new processes and technologies are adopted and sustained in day-to-day practice operations.

Risk, Compliance and Quality

Ensure processes align with regulatory, accreditation and Cornerstone Health requirements, including privacy and health records obligations.

Support quality assurance, accreditation and internal audit activities.

Implement controls that mitigate operational,



clinical and compliance risk.

Monitor compliance with policies, procedures and standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong partnerships with practice managers, clinical leaders, corporate services and subject matter experts.

Facilitate workshops and working groups across clinical and corporate teams.

Influence stakeholders at all organisational levels.

Act as a trusted advisor on operational excellence and process management matters.

About you

Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Health, Engineering, Operations, Quality Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience leading business process improvement initiatives.

Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.

Highly Desirable

Qualifications in Project Management (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or equivalent).

Business Process Management (BPM) certification.

Change Management certification (PROSCI or equivalent).

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years' experience in process improvement, operational excellence or business transformation.

Proven track record delivering measurable business improvement outcomes.

Experience using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

Experience working in complex, multi-site operational environments; healthcare, primary care or another regulated industry is highly desirable.

Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional projects.
