About Danny Met Sally

At Danny Met Sally, we’re not your average disability service provider. We’re a national premium provider with heart, committed to delivering the kind of care, respect and support we’d want for our own family or closest friend.

Our people are at the centre of what we do. We’re passionate about creating an environment where clients receive exceptional support and our teams are empowered, supported and set up to succeed.

As we continue to grow nationally, we’re looking for an experienced National Rostering Manager to lead one of the most critical operational functions within our business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Talent, the National Rostering Manager will have overall responsibility for the performance and leadership of our national Rostering and After Hours teams, comprising more than 20 team members.

This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, while balancing client needs, workforce utilisation, service quality and commercial outcomes.

You’ll lead the national rostering function, drive performance against key operational metrics, identify opportunities to improve workforce efficiency and ensure our teams consistently deliver a high standard of service to clients and support workers.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the complexity of large-scale rostering and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead, coach and develop the national Rostering and After Hours teams of 20 employees.

- Set clear expectations and drive accountability against departmental and individual KPIs.

- Own national rostering performance, including shift fill rates, utilisation, overtime, broken shifts and workforce retention.

- Monitor and improve client satisfaction and service quality relating to rostering and workforce coordination.

- Ensure rosters are developed efficiently and accurately while meeting client requirements, preferences and support needs.

- Identify workforce gaps and develop proactive strategies to improve shift coverage and reduce reliance on overtime and short-notice staffing.

- Analyse rostering and workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

- Develop and deliver regular performance reporting to senior leadership, providing clear insights and recommendations.

- Work closely with Operations, Client Services, Recruitment, People & Culture and senior leadership to align workforce supply with business requirements.

- Lead recruitment, onboarding and training of new Rostering and After Hours team members.

- Establish and maintain consistent rostering processes, standards and ways of working nationally.

- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and technology to increase efficiency and workforce utilisation.

- Manage escalations relating to staffing, rostering and service delivery with sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach.

- Ensure rostering practices align with relevant legislation, industrial instruments, company policies and client requirements.

- Build a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, responsiveness and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced rostering leader who can operate confidently at both a strategic and operational level.

You’ll be someone who understands that effective rostering is about much more than filling shifts. It requires balancing client outcomes, workforce capability, employee experience, compliance, utilisation and commercial performance.

Ideally, you will have:

- 5 years' experience managing rostering operations at a large scale, ideally within the NDIS, disability, community services, healthcare, aged care or another complex 24/7 workforce environment.

- Proven experience leading a large rostering or workforce coordination team.

- Demonstrated experience managing teams against measurable KPIs and performance targets.

- Strong understanding of workforce utilisation, shift coverage, overtime, broken shifts and workforce optimisation.

- Experience working with complex, high-volume rosters and changing operational requirements.

- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate workforce data into practical business decisions.

- Experience recruiting, onboarding, training and developing high-performing teams.

- Strong understanding of the SCHADS Award and its application to rostering and workforce management.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

- The ability to remain calm, decisive and solutions-focused in a high-pressure operational setting.

- A solid understanding of client experience and the importance of continuity and quality of care.

- A proactive approach to identifying problems before they become operational issues.

- Strong systems and technology capability, with the ability to identify opportunities for process and system improvement.

- A leadership style that is accountable, supportive, transparent and focused on developing people.

Experience within the NDIS or a comparable 24/7 service environment will be highly regarded.
