Smurfettes Cleaning Service has a genuine casual cleaner opening for two substantially experienced local applicants in Katherine, NT, and the approved surrounding service area.

Recruitment is open from 11 September 2026. Successful applicants will be engaged as casual cleaners; shifts are allocated as matching NDIS bookings and rosters become available. This is not a promise of immediate work, guaranteed hours or a guaranteed commencement date.

The advertised rate starts at A$33.85 per hour plus superannuation in accordance with law. The employing entity, applicable industrial instrument, classification and final rate will be confirmed in writing before commencement, and any higher legal or agreement entitlement will apply.

Katherine service focus

This Katherine opening covers participant-home cleaning to an agreed standard, including bathrooms, kitchen areas, floors, dusting and common touch surfaces. Keep accurate completion notes, protect privacy and property, and seek clarification where the task, access arrangement or safety conditions require it.





Experience requirement

Substantial, clearly evidenced qualified cleaning experience is required. The CV must show work dates, duration, settings and duties actually performed. Relevant domestic, commercial, hotel, NDIS household or disability-service cleaning can be considered; unsupported claims do not meet the requirement.

Before applying

Applicants need Australian work rights, a valid driver licence where the roster requires it, and reliable registered and insured transport. They must be able to reach the advertised service area within about 30 minutes at the actual rostered start time. NDIS Worker Screening status, or willingness and eligibility to obtain it, will be checked when assigned work requires it.

This is cleaning work only and does not include personal care or support duties unless separately agreed in writing.
