Smurfettes Cleaning Service is recruiting two experienced local casual cleaners for anticipated future NDIS participant-home bookings in Hornsby and the approved surrounding catchment.

Hiring is open from 11 September 2026. Suitable applicants may be considered for casual engagement as matching client bookings and shifts become available. There is no promise of immediate work, guaranteed hours or a guaranteed commencement date.

Pay starts at A$33.85 per hour for the advertised work, plus superannuation in accordance with law. The employing entity, applicable industrial instrument, classification and rate will be confirmed in writing before commencement. Any higher minimum rate, penalty rate, overtime, minimum payment, paid required client-to-client travel time, or vehicle or other allowance required for the actual duties, roster and location will apply.

Hornsby service work The role involves careful household cleaning in participant homes and, where rostered, community settings. Typical tasks may include floors, surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, windows and fixtures; secure use of equipment and cleaning chemicals; restocking household supplies; keeping storage areas orderly; reporting maintenance or safety hazards; and following health, safety, privacy and infection-control procedures. This is in-person cleaning and does not include remote work or personal care.





Experience requirement

Applicants must be able to show substantial professional cleaning experience. Please make dates, duration, work settings and duties clear in your CV. Experience in domestic or commercial cleaning, disability, aged care or health settings is relevant where it included cleaning or domestic assistance.

Required before participant work

1. Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, an application in progress, or willingness and eligibility to obtain it before required work begins.
2. Current police clearance, or willingness to obtain it before work begins.
3. Valid driver licence and continuous access to an own reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
4. Ability to reach local client homes in Hornsby and the approved service area within 30 minutes at the actual rostered start time.
5. Australian work rights suitable for the casual hours offered.
6. Good communication, reliability, attention to detail, independent working ability and respect for participant privacy and boundaries.

Shift times vary with participant demand. Apply only if you can reliably service Hornsby and the approved nearby catchment. Pay: $33.85 per hour
