About the Role

Aramex Nelson is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Supervisor to join our team on a fixed term contract. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day depot operations, leading operational teams, supporting courier franchisees, and delivering exceptional service outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, enjoys leading people, and has a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:





- Lead day-to-day depot and courier operations to ensure service standards are met.
- Oversee freight sorting, dispatch, processing, and linehaul departures.
- Support workplace health and safety initiatives and maintain compliance standards.
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive performance improvements.
- Coordinate service failure recoveries and customer issue resolution.
- Supervise and provide leadership to operational and customer service teams.
- Complete operational reporting and support strategic business initiatives.
- Ensure security procedures and end-of-day processes are consistently followed.

To be successful in this role:

- Previous experience in transport, logistics, warehousing, or courier operations.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Experience working with operational KPIs and reporting.
- Competent Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- A current full driver's licence (forklift licence advantageous)
