About Coastal Dental Care

Coastal Dental Care Runaway Bay is co-owned and led by our principal dentist, Dr Will Dear, right in Runaway Bay Centre. We're part of a dentist-owned network of 18 practices across the Gold Coast, but each practice runs like your local: close relationships with patients and a team that actually knows each other.

About the role

We need a casual Oral Health Therapist to cover our Saturday shift, 8am to 1pm, at Runaway Bay. There may be scope for extra shifts covering leave or busy periods, depending on your availability. You'll work to your full scope of practice and get to know our regular Saturday patients, so their care stays consistent week to week.

What you’ll be doing

- Conducting clinical assessments and delivering preventive and periodontal care within your scope of practice
- Provide restorative and therapy treatment within scope
- Providing oral health education to support long-term patient outcomes
- Taking radiographs to support accurate diagnosis
- Exercising clinical judgement, including referring to a dentist when treatment sits outside your scope
- Working closely with dentists, dental assistants, and reception to keep the day running smoothly for patients

What we’re looking for

Essential

- Bachelor of Oral Health (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA registration (unrestricted)
- Relevant professional indemnity insurance
- Solid communication skills and a patient-first approach
- Commitment to maintaining CPD hours

Preferred

- Available most Saturdays on an ongoing casual basis




- Radiation licence, or willing to obtain one
- Familiarity with Dental for Windows (D4W)
