Two short sessions a day. The middle of it is yours.

Iqra College is opening an Outside School Hours Care service at O'Halloran Hill, and we are building the founding educator team. You would be one of the first people through the door. We are building for Exceeding National Quality Standard, and that rating is earned from what educators actually do in sessions, repeated until it is the normal way things are done here. The habits set in the first term are the ones the service is assessed on later. Yours would be some of them.

The program is Islam-centred by design: prayer, character and manners, and community starting point, not values added to a secular program afterwards. You do not have to be Muslim to work here. Non-Muslim staff hold senior leadership positions at Iqra. What we ask is that you are comfortable in a program built this way and that you support it in the session.

The shifts

• Before school 6:30–8:30am, after school 3:30–6:30pm. Vacation care 6:30am–6:30pm.

- Mornings only, afternoons only, or both — tell us what suits
- Pupil free days and vacation care when you want the extra hours
- No weekends. Ever.

What you'd actually do

• Supervise your zone — active, moving, eyes on children the whole session

- Run the good part of the day: sport, art, construction, cooking, homework help, quiet time
- Serve halal breakfast and afternoon tea, and support the prayer rhythm of the session
- Sign children in,



mark them off at the gate, and hand them back to their families with something to talk about

Who we are looking for

Three levels, and you may be further along than you think:

- Diploma educators — an ACECQA-approved diploma recognised for SA OSHC. You can be rostered in day-to-day charge.
- Qualified educators — certificate III or higher in education, care or disability.
- Students — halfway through an approved diploma already counts as a certificate III. If you are 50% through, you are qualified for this job today.

Everyone needs a current SA Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC, and first aid with CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma — held, or done before you start.

Before you spend any more time on this

• It is a split shift. Early start, gap, back for the afternoon. That suits some lives and wrecks others.

- We are opening, not open — we are building the team ready for the day approval comes through.
- Prayer, manners structure the session. That is the program, not an extra — worth knowing before you apply.
