About the role

This customer-facing position is suited to someone with robust product knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to accurately identify and supply the right parts and accessories.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming customers and understanding their boating needs
- Identifying and recommending the correct parts, accessories and complementary products
- Preparing accurate quotations and processing sales, payments and orders
- Following up enquiries, quotations, backorders and customer commitments
- Receiving, checking, labelling and storing incoming stock
- Maintaining accurate inventory, pricing and product information
- Supporting stocktakes and investigating stock discrepancies
- Maintaining clean, attractive and commercially effective product displays
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
- Managing warranties, returns and exchanges in accordance with company procedures

About you

- Have parts, accessories or technical retail sales experience
- Provide friendly, professional and solutions-focused customer service
- Have exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
- Confidently ask questions and listen before recommending a solution
- Be able to interpret catalogues, diagrams and computer-based parts systems
- Be organised and follow enquiries and commitments through to completion




- Work well within a team and take personal responsibility for results
- Remain calm and professional when managing competing priorities
- Have an interest in boating, marine products, engines or outdoor leisure products
