- Paying between $63.84 - $73.63ph + super
- Melbourne CBD location with hybrid working flexibility
- Temp contract for 10 weeks

About the Role

Our client is a VIC government organisation based in the Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a Payroll Advisor to come in and join them on a 10 week temporary contract.

Candidates for this role must have:

- Experience in payroll processing, including employee terminations and final payments.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and employment obligations.
- Experience calculating employee entitlements and separation payments with a high level o accuracy.

Key responsibilities include
- Calculate Separation Packages: Prepare and validate Applicant Separation Package (ASP) and Immediate Separation Package (ISP) calculations following statutory, policy, and enterprise agreement guidelines.
- Deliver Advisory Support: Respond to employee, manager, and project team inquiries regarding exit entitlements, notice periods, final payments, and payroll impacts.
- Coordinate Documentation: Compile administrative calculations and supporting documentation to facilitate executive review and decision-making for ASP/ISP processes.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with Workforce Transformation, People & Culture,



and Payroll teams to ensure smooth and timely processing of employee departures.
- Process Final Payroll Transactions: Execute workforce transition payroll actions, including employment terminations, leave balance reconciliations, and final payment disbursements.
- Provide Overflow Support: Assist the broader payroll operations team with general processing during peak workload periods.
- Maintain Audit Records: Ensure detailed audit trails by maintaining accurate records, calculation worksheets, and compliance documentation.
- Manage Risks & Escalations: Identify, investigate, and escalate complex payroll discrepancies, potential risks, or specialised issues to appropriate subject matter experts.
