About the role
We are seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis, based in West Perth, WA 6005. This role drives and delivers our Human Resources and Workforce Health and Safety functions, ensuring that our people strategies align with our organisational values and business objectives. As People and Culture Coordinator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to our team, helping to create a positive workplace culture whilst managing key HR processes and initiatives.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and wellbeing of our diverse workforce across heritage sites and community programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, correspondence management and record-keeping
- Coordinate recruitment processes and onboarding and induction programmes for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organisation
- Maintain and update HR systems, databases and documentation in compliance with relevant legislation
- Support the development and delivery of employee engagement and culture initiatives
- Assist with employee relations matters, including leave management, policy administration and general HR queries
- Develop and implement training and development programmes, systems and processes
- Lead HR projects and process improvements that enhance organisational efficiency
- Liaise with external providers such as recruitment agencies, training organisations and compliance consultants
- Help prepare HR reports and documentation as required by senior leadership
What we're looking for
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent qualified experience in an HR or administrative role
- Demonstrated experience in HR administration, recruitment support or people-focused coordinator roles, ideally within a similar organisational setting
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels
- Proficiency with HR systems, applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices within Australia,
particularly Western Australia
- A positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine commitment to supporting workplace culture
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive HR matters
- An understanding of or interest in heritage conservation and the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous
