Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Pet Sitter role based in the Greater Melbourne Area, with some work from home for scheduling and client communication. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include visiting clients’ homes to provide pet sitting, feeding, fresh water, toileting support, basic grooming, and playtime tailored to each animal’s temperament and needs.

The role also involves dog walking, enrichment activities, monitoring pet health and behavior, and following detailed care instructions provided by guardians and NDIS participants. Pet Sitters will update clients with photos and activity reports,



maintain clear communication, and promptly flag any concerns. Light house sitting tasks such as bringing in mail, watering plants, and ensuring the property is secure may be required during in‑home pet sitting assignments.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Animal Care and Pet Care skills, including safe handling, observation, and basic health awareness.
- Candidates should possess reliable Pet Sitting and House Sitting skills, with the ability to follow routines, respect home environments, and maintain security.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including written updates, phone communication, and respectful interaction with diverse clients.
- Experience with dog walking, enrichment activities, or behavioural‑friendly handling is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently across the Greater Melbourne Area, manage a adaptable schedule, and travel between client locations is required.
- Comfort working with a range of animals (primarily dogs and cats), including those belonging to NDIS participants, is preferred.
- Police check, valid insurance coverage (or willingness to obtain), and adherence to safety protocols are expected.
