Pharmacy Assistant – Retail

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our retail team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be an important part of the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy, assisting customers and supporting the wider pharmacy team.

Your responsibilities will include

- Providing friendly and skilled customer service

- Assisting customers with general pharmacy and retail enquiries

- Processing sales and operating the point-of-sale system

- Recommending appropriate pharmacy and retail products within your level of training

- Receiving, unpacking and replenishing stock

- Maintaining attractive, clean and well-stocked displays

- Monitoring stock levels, pricing and expiry dates

- Assisting with promotional displays and merchandising

- Supporting pharmacists and other team members as required

- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming pharmacy environment

- Following pharmacy policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with customers

- Passionate about providing excellent customer service

- Reliable, punctual and well organised





- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment

- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Willing to learn and develop their pharmacy knowledge

- Accurate and attentive to detail

- Professional and respectful when handling confidential or sensitive information

Previous pharmacy or retail experience is highly regarded, however training can be provided to the right candidate.

Experience or qualifications in areas such as S2/S3 medicines, pharmacy product knowledge, Webster packing or community pharmacy will also be highly regarded.
