About the role

Priceline Pharmacy Fairfield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Fairfield, NSW 2165, this role is essential to the smooth operation of our pharmacy and directly supports the delivery of quality healthcare services to our community. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will work alongside our pharmacy team to ensure excellent customer service, maintain efficient operations, and support the dispensing of medications under the supervision of qualified pharmacists.

This is a customer-facing role that plays a vital part in helping customers access the healthcare products and advice they need.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in the dispensing of medications under the supervision of the pharmacist, including counting, labelling and packaging medications

- Welcome customers and handle customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner

- Process sales transactions accurately using the pharmacy management system

- Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management, including receiving and shelving stock

- Clean and maintain the pharmacy environment to ensure it meets health and safety standards

- Support the pharmacist with administrative duties such as filing prescriptions and managing patient records

- Assist with the organisation of displays and promotional materials throughout the pharmacy

- Help customers locate products and provide general information about over-the-counter medications and health products

- Comply with all relevant pharmacy legislation, regulations and workplace health and safety requirements





- Safely manage and execute prescription deliveries to community patients and residential care facilities (valid driver's licence required).

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for providing excellent customer service and supporting healthcare outcomes

- Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medications and processing transactions

- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members

- Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn pharmacy management systems quickly

- Reliability and a commitment to maintaining punctuality and attendance
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and stocking

- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of pharmacy products and services

- Previous retail or healthcare experience is advantageous, though not essential for the right candidate

- Formal qualifications such as a Certificate III in Pharmacy Assistance are preferred but candidates with relevant experience will be considered
