Burwood East

Physiotherapist – Private Practice (located inside contemporary and luxury gym)

Location: Burwood East, Melbourne VIC (315 Burwood Highway, Burwood East VIC 3151)

Category: Physiotherapy, OT & Rehabilitation (Healthcare & Medical)

Work type: Contract/Temp (Subcontractor), Part time – days/hours negotiable

Pay: Percentage-based commission, 40–50% of billings (negotiable based on experience, exact split discussed at interview)

About the role

Hash Physiotherapy is looking for a physiotherapist to join us as a subcontractor at our clinic located inside a modern and luxury gym in Burwood East. This is a genuine hands-on, treatment table to gym pathway role. You'll assess, diagnose and manage pain hands-on in our private treatment rooms, then transition patients naturally into our fully equipped gym and Pilates studio for rehabilitation.

We're looking for someone with strong manual therapy skills and solid exercise/personal training ability (with a physiotherapy clinical lens), in equal measure.

About us

Hash Physiotherapy is located inside T1 Fitness, a modern, clean and premium gym facility in Burwood East. Our treatment rooms are directly connected to a fully equipped gym and Pilates studio, so rehabilitation continues seamlessly from the table to functional, supervised exercise. We manage a mixed caseload including WorkSafe, TAC, Medicare (EPC) and private patients, with a significant proportion of our patients from East Asian backgrounds.

Key responsibilities

- Hands-on assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions
- Pain management using manual therapy techniques

- Design and deliver individualised, functional rehabilitation programs that transition patients from the treatment room into gym-based and Clinical Pilates exercise
- Coach and supervise patients through exercise with genuine hands-on instruction, not just handing over a program
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Build long-term relationships with patients through empathetic, attentive care
- Communicate openly with the clinic owner about caseload, scheduling and how the role is working for you

About you

- Current AHPRA registration (essential)
- Current professional indemnity insurance (essential)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (essential)
- Strong, confident hands-on/manual therapy skills
- Strong exercise prescription and coaching ability (personal-training-level exercise skill, applied clinically)
- A genuine people person: warm, empathetic and a good listener
- An open, honest communicator who listens without judgment and doesn't jump to assumptions about patients or colleagues
- Comfortable working independently as a subcontractor
- Any career style is welcome. Whether you're ambitious and want to grow the role with us, or you prefer steady,

repeat-patient work, both are genuinely valued here, as long as communication stays open and honest
- Mandarin or Korean language skills highly regarded (not required). What matters most is cultural understanding and the ability to build rapport with our East Asian patient base. Background is not a factor: English communication is fine

What we offer

- Subcontractor arrangement with a competitive percentage-based split of billings (40 to 50%, negotiable based on experience and caseload, exact terms discussed at interview)
- Part time, with days and hours negotiable
- A modern, premium facility: private consulting rooms directly connected to a fully equipped gym and Clinical Pilates studio
- A genuinely collaborative relationship. This role is built on open, two-way communication and finding a setup that works for both of us
- Room to grow the role and your caseload over time, at your own pace

How to apply Send your CV and a short note about yourself to [email protected]. We'd love to hear from you.
