Platform Lead - Perm - $160k + super The Platform Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the delivery platform across on-premises and cloud environments.

The role balances technical leadership with people leadership, spending approximately 50% of time designing, building and improving deployment pipelines and automation, while leading the Platform team to deliver secure, reliable and scalable platform services.

The Platform Lead is responsible for establishing platform standards, prioritizing work, managing operational triage and enabling engineering teams through reusable platform capabilities, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities, operational requirements and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities:

Platform Engineering & Architecture

- Design, build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments with AWS and on-prem Linux infrastructure.
- Own platform architecture for deployment automation, release management, setting promotion, secrets management and operational runbooks.




- Develop reusable deployment patterns, templates and platform standards.
- Improve developer self-service through automation, documentation and standardized delivery approaches.
- Drive continuous improvement through deployment metrics and platform performance analysis.

To be successful you will have:

- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing Platform Engineering or DevOps teams.
- Strong experience designing CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.
- Strong knowledge of deployment automation.
- Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and Linux.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with release governance and deployment controls.
- Strong scripting and automation capability.
- Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
