Who we are

Playtec has been designing and building commercial indoor playgrounds for over 30 years. Our small, close-knit team is based in Cromer on Sydney's Northern Beaches and handles everything in-house — from manufacturing right through to installation and ongoing maintenance — for clients across Australia. We're a stable, long-running business and we look after our people.

The role

You'll be part of our assembly, installation and maintenance team, working across two types of jobs:

- Current builds — assembling completed playground structures at our Cromer factory, then travelling to the client's site anywhere in Australia to install them
- Maintenance visits — returning to existing playgrounds to carry out inspections, servicing and repairs

Five days a week, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility with hours is required depending on the job. The work isn't physically gruelling but it does require someone who shows up every day with the right attitude and takes pride in a job well done.

Travel

Interstate travel is part of the role — typically a few trips per year, with overnight stays of up to 4 nights at a time. All flights, accommodation and expenses are fully covered. For the right person it's one of the best parts of the job.

What we're looking for Attitude matters more to us than qualifications — we'll teach you what you need to know:

- Genuinely handy and comfortable with tools
- Adaptable — happy to learn the Playtec way of doing things
- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- Full Australian driver's licence
- Power tools experience a bonus but not essential

Ideally based on the Northern Beaches or within reasonable distance of Cromer — though we're open to the right candidate from further afield if you're committed to the commute.
