- Experience in the delivery of competency-based training and assessment.
n
- Experience in and a detailed understanding of the operations of the corrections industry particularly those related to the operations of a correctional centre.
n
- Knowledge and skills to deliver and assess staff in Entry Level Training and Correctional Practices competencies and assessments.
n
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to apply those in the design and delivery of training.
n
- Conflict resolution and problem solving skills to deal with trainee custodial officers whilst conducting entry level training.
n
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to think on your feet when facilitating.
n
- Confident facilitator with demonstrated capability to successfully engage a diverse audience of adult learners to help cement knowledge transfer and application.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure,
meet tight deadlines and work in a team workplace.
n
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills to ensure training programs and delivery of those programs is designed for the target audience.
n
n
Demonstrated skills in negotiating service delivery priorities, deadlines, and resources.
n
Other conditions and requirements:

n
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice
n
- Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or skill set, or ability to attain such certificate (The successful applicant will to be required to successfully complete Enterprise Trainer Assessor Skill Set).
n
- There may be instances where the incumbent will be required to work hours outside the normal work hours, undertake travel to other locations, or temporarily work from an alternate location.
n
- Applications to remain current for 12 months.
