Technical Lead - React Native

Location: North Sydney (Hybrid).

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity for a hands-on Technical Lead - React Native to join a growing healthcare organisation undergoing significant digital transformation.

Working closely with Product, UX/UI and Technology teams, you will lead the design, development and evolution of large-scale mobile applications, while helping modernise the broader technology landscape through cloud adoption and platform transformation initiatives.

This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys remaining close to the code while providing architectural guidance, mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the architecture, design and delivery of mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Act as the technical authority for mobile engineering, driving coding standards, best practices and technical quality.
- Provide hands-on leadership through solution design, code reviews, technical mentoring and delivery oversight.
- Collaborate with Product, UX/UI and stakeholders to deliver high-quality customer-facing digital experiences.
- Design and integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services and enterprise platforms.
- Support the modernisation of existing applications within a C#/.NET environment.
- Contribute to cloud transformation initiatives, including migration from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.
- Drive CI/CD,



release management and software engineering best practices.

Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer delivering mobile applications at scale.
- Strong commercial experience with React Native, React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript development.
- Experience building and supporting enterprise-grade iOS and Android applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimisation and security best practices.
- Experience integrating applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Exposure to C#/.NET environments and enterprise application ecosystems.
- Experience with Azure, cloud-native technologies and application modernisation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across delivery teams.

Nice to Have:

- Azure DevOps.
- Native iOS or Android development experience.
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with large-scale cloud migration programs.
