CRUCIAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTION (READ BEFORE APPLYING)

We do not accept generic, one-click applications. To be considered, you must follow the specific instructions in the "To Apply" section at the bottom of this ad, including the required written task. If you do not complete this task, or if you submit an unedited, copy-pasted AI response, your application will be automatically archived without review.

About Us

DecoNetwork is a global SaaS platform built for print, apparel, and promotional product businesses. We've been operating for over 15 years with the same core team, the same values, and the same commitment to building software that genuinely helps our customers succeed.

We're not a startup chasing growth at any cost. We're a stable, people-first business that takes a long view on our product and on our people.

About the Role

This is an associate-level documentation role within our Product Experience team. Working closely under structured mentoring from an experienced team member, you'll be creating and maintaining the Help Center articles, guides, and other self-serve resources that help customers solve problems on their own.

This is a dedicated learning role. We do not require a background in software engineering, technical writing, or the print industry. We can teach you our platform. What matters more to us is who you are: someone dependable with a high level of personal accountability, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in doing valuable work, with an analytical mind and a calm approach to problem solving.

You should already be comfortable with basic HTML, since it's how our Help Center articles are formatted and kept consistent. This role is remote, but it isn't loosely managed. You'll have a dedicated mentor, regular real-time check-ins, and in-person catch-ups nearby in the Inner West/Canterbury area.

What You'll Be Doing

- Writing and Content Creation: writing and updating Help Center articles, customer documentation, and other help resources.
- Formatting: using basic HTML to format articles and keep styling consistent across our knowledge base.
- Software Validation:

validating documentation against live software behavior to ensure accuracy.
- Investigation: reproducing, testing, and investigating customer-reported issues, then creating the troubleshooting resources customers need to resolve them.
- Product Monitoring: keeping track of product updates that require documentation changes.
- Content Optimization: improving the consistency, tone, and usability of customer-facing content.
- Platform Mastery: learning the ins and outs of our platform thoroughly under direct mentorship.

What We're Looking For

- Integrity, Above All: you do what you say you'll do, you're straightforward about progress and setbacks alike, and you take genuine pride in work you can stand behind. This matters more to us than any single skill.
- Reliable & Self-Directed: someone who naturally follows through on tasks without being micromanaged, and who our customers and teammates can count on.
- Effective Written Communication: clear, plain, engaging, and highly accurate writing.
- Basic HTML (Essential): comfortable reading and writing basic HTML, enough to format Help Center articles and keep our documentation's styling consistent. This is a hands-on, practical skill, not a coding background.
- Technical Curiosity: a genuine interest in how software works and how real people interact with it.
- Tech-Savvy Adaptability: comfortable learning new tools, including using AI thoughtfully as part of your workflow, but not in place of actual work.
- Useful (But Non-Essential) Experience: prior experience in documentation, customer support, or SaaS is a bonus, but not required.

What We Offer

- Professional Growth: structured mentoring and clear progression into broader Product and UX work.

- Financial Incentives: a performance-based bonus linked to bi-annual KPI reviews.
- Remote, With Real Contact: you can work from home, but we're a Sydney-based team that values regular, easy face-to-face collaboration, so we ask that you live within a 10 to 15 minute radius of the Canterbury/Inner West local area.

To Apply We read every genuine application, but we immediately archive automated spam. To prove you are an organized, honest professional who reads details and follows through, please submit your resume and a short cover letter via SEEK.

Your application must meet the following three criteria to be considered:

1. The Phrase: please open your cover letter with the exact phrase, "I am local to the Inner West/Canterbury area and ready to learn."
2. The Written Task: in your own words, tell us about a time you had to explain something complicated in plain language, whether in writing, in a previous role, or anywhere else in your life. This story is the main thing we want to see. Structure your answer in four short parts, in this order: what you were explaining and to whom, why it was hard to understand at first, the two or three things you did to make it clearer (in the order you did them), and how you knew it actually worked. Keep the whole answer to 200 words or less. If you're invited to the next stage, we may ask you a follow-up question about this exact story, so please write about something real that you can speak to in more detail.
3. Location Check: confirm your current residential suburb on your resume. Applicants living outside our local catchment or greater Sydney will not be progressed.
4. Availability: somewhere in your cover letter, confirm that you can work standard business hours (8:30am-5:30pm AEST, Monday-Friday). We need to know upfront that the hours work for you.
5. AI Use & Verification: we're comfortable with AI tools as part of your workflow, but not in place of actual work. If you use them, briefly tell us how you'd check or verify AI-assisted work before submitting it.
