Role Description:
Reporting to Operations Manager, you will be based in Gnangara, Perth.
- Act as the primary point of contact for allocated projects, providing clients with a clear and responsive interface from project handover through to completion.
- Manage assigned projects against agreed scope, programme, budget, quality requirements and client deadlines.
- Take ownership of project delivery and proactively drive actions required to meet contractual milestones and committed delivery dates.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding progress, priorities, technical matters, documentation, risks, delays and required decisions.
- Build strong client relationships and provide proactive, solution-focused support throughout project delivery, ensuring priorities, emerging issues and key decisions are communicated and addressed in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, action registers, deliverable registers and progress reporting appropriate to the size and complexity of each project.
- Coordinate project interfaces between clients, Sales, Operations, Services, Workshop, Quality, suppliers, subcontractors and site personnel.
- Oversee project execution while respecting the day-to-day operational responsibilities of the Services Manager, Workshop Supervisors and Site Supervisors.
- Monitor workshop and site progress against project requirements and work with operational personnel to identify and resolve constraints that may affect delivery.
- Review client purchase orders, scopes of work, specifications, drawings, datasheets and project documentation to confirm requirements, deliverables, exclusions and technical interfaces.
- Prepare and/or review project documentation including technical submissions, procedures,
inspection and test documentation, progress reports, completion dossiers and client correspondence.
- Review technical reports and project deliverables for completeness, clarity and compliance before submission to the client.
- Assist with preparation of technical proposals, quotations, variations, clarifications and project execution methodologies.
- Identify scope changes and variations promptly and ensure additional work is documented and communicated before execution where practicable.
- Monitor project costs, labour, subcontracting, procurement and other expenditure against budget; provide forecasts and report potential overruns or commercial risks to Management.
- Coordinate and follow up procurement of project-specific materials, valves, piping components, services and subcontracted activities with the responsible internal personnel.
- Participate in client kick-off meetings, progress meetings, technical reviews, inspections, FATs and site meetings as required.
- Attend client sites to support project execution, resolve technical or coordination issues and maintain effective client relationships.
- Provide practical engineering support to technicians and supervisors and assist with troubleshooting where project conditions differ from drawings, specifications or planned methodology.
- Support project close-out, ensuring technical documentation, reports, certificates, MDR/dossiers, outstanding actions and client deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure key decisions, instructions, variations and client communications are appropriately documented.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Profluid Group project management, reporting and technical processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
- Engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent demonstrated industrial project experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing industrial projects with responsibility for client communication, deadlines, deliverables and project coordination.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and follow actions through to completion.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, datasheets, scopes of work and client requirements.
- Solid written communication skills and ability to prepare professional project correspondence, reports and technical documentation.
- Commercial awareness, including understanding of project budgets, variations, procurement, labour utilisation and schedule impacts.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills, with clear communication and a proactive approach to maintaining project momentum and delivery commitments.
- Ability to work effectively with workshop, site, technical, commercial and administrative personnel of mixed levels of experience.
- Willingness to undertake frequent visits to client facilities and project sites throughout Western Australia.
Desirable
- Knowledge and practical experience with industrial valves, pressure equipment and/or piping systems.
- Experience in valve servicing, pressure testing, mechanical maintenance, commissioning or shutdown environments.
- Oil & gas, LNG, mining, refining, chemical, energy or heavy industrial project experience.
- Familiarity with valve and piping drawings, P&IDs;, isometrics, datasheets, material specifications and inspection/test requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant API, ASME, AS/NZS and ISO standards applicable to valves, piping and pressure systems.
- Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or NATA / ISO/IEC 17025 quality environments.
- Experience with project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, MDRs/dossiers and client document control systems.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
