Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer, operator and facilities manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyard, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for planning, designing, constructing and managing all shipyard infrastructure.

ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, to join our Project Delivery team in our Osborne office. In this role you will be responsible for the development and delivery of Shipyard infrastructure programs and projects to ensure delivery, aligning with organisational objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Developing programs to meet ANI objectives.

· Collaborating with shipbuilders and other stakeholders to identifying solutions to shipbuilding requirements and planning, designing and delivering infrastructure projects that respond to those requirements.

· Designing procurement strategies specific to projects, gaining required internal approvals, and leading procurement processes.

· Engaging, gaining required internal approvals, and managing relevant consultants and contractors to deliver identified infrastructure solutions.

· Managing and reporting achievement of objectives in the context of key deliverables safety, time, cost and quality.

· Ensuring construction and industry standards are maintained and comply with relevant legislation, organizational policies and procedures

· Leading a multidisciplinary team of direct and indirect reports to achieve project objectives, setting and maintaining standards, and providing mentoring and development programs to build organisational capacity.

· Managing all project phases including investigation, development, procurement, design and formulation of construction projects.

· Investigating operational and construction challenges, recommending and sourcing solutions and then manage delivery against agreed parameters.

About You:

Ideally you will have significant experience in the delivery of construction projects.



An advanced understanding of project sequencing/ programming, cost control and health and safety management, some experience working for tier 1 contractors will be highly regarded. You are an experienced and confident construction skilled with a desire to further develop your skills in ‘end to end’ project delivery.

You have strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently work with competing demands and deadlines. You will be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities, including being able to communicate with a variety of stakeholders and to articulate complexities in a simplified manner. demonstrable commercial acumen and commercial experience is highly desired. A solid history in the management of projects in similar environments would be advantageous.

This position has relative autonomy and is expected to show a high degree of expertise, initiative and independence in ensuring compliance with ANI policies, legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, policies, delivery of service and the discharge of accountabilities and duties.

You will also have:

· Minimum 10 years industry experience in construction project management.

· Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field.

· Experience in infrastructure construction delivery.

· Experience managing, designers, consultants, multi-disciplinary main contractors and sub-contractors.

· Significant commercial acumen and the ability to develop design and contractual documents to accurately reflect a clear plan to achieve required business outcomes while following defined procurement processes.

· Familiarity with a range of software products such as Office 365, Bluebeam, MS Project and P6 systems.
