The Workforce Operational Strategic Unit (WOSU) supports the delivery of new government workforce policy, builds resilience and deliver significant projects and programs to enhance the capacity and capability of the system to meet current and future needs. The unit sits within The Workforce Planning & Talent Development Branch.





This is a pivotal position that is responsible for guiding a clinical workforce and ensuring high-quality, responsive service delivery across NSW. The role calls for someone with deep frontline insight and a strong understanding of clinical environments and practice. Someone who can translate real world operational experience into effective workforce coordination and outcomes.

A major component of the role involves building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the system. You’ll facilitate working groups, committees, and consultations, ensuring that operational perspectives and clinical considerations are reflected in project planning and implementation.

What you will do

- Coordinate and implement workforce plans and projects that support statewide service delivery and contribute to system performance goals.
- Support the team of clinicians by managing day to day activities, guiding team workflows, and ensuring milestones are met.
- Manage administrative and reporting requirements, adjusting priorities as needed to meet deadlines in a high volume demanding environment.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders through working groups, committees, and consultations to ensure project outcomes reflect operational and clinical needs.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, briefs and evaluation materials that inform workforce planning and policy development.

About you

- Deep frontline insight and a strong understanding of clinical environments and practice. Someone who can translate real world operational experience into effective workforce coordination and outcomes
- Experience in coordinating complex projects within large organisations, with the ability to keep multiple priorities moving simultaneously.
- Skilled in high level administration and confident managing portfolios in demanding,



fast paced environments.
- Analytical and solutions focused, with strong problem solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to emerging issues.
- A clear and confident communicator who builds strong relationships and works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Organised, detail driven and adaptable, with the capability to produce high-quality written advice and maintain accurate project documentation
